The GAME CHANGERS initiative seeks to end the epidemic of domestic violence by equipping young male and female athletes and their coaches with the resources and skills necessary to build healthy relationships. SafeNest provides training using “Coaching Boys Into Men” and “Athletes as Leaders,” evidence-based programs implemented in schools nationwide.
The Coaching Boys into Men (CBIM) program provides high school athletic coaches with the resources they need to promote respectful behavior among their players and help prevent relationship abuse, harassment, and sexual assault. For more than a decade, the program has been implemented in communities across the U.S. and around the world.

As a coach, you will facilitate conversations on topics such as respect, integrity, and community building. The conversations will be assisted by an advocate from SafeNest. The curriculum is flexible and meant to accommodate the needs of individual coaches and teams.

Athletes who have completed the program disclose they gain confidence, self-assurance, and team inclusivity. The goal for the young adults that complete Game Changers is that they leave with a sense of leadership and resourcefulness as it pertains to how they connect with the people in their lives.
